I picked this photo because I like all the unsaid emotion shown from the girl. I think what made my eyes gravitate to this picture is the way the photographer angled it to show the whole scene. I think this picture made the top 40 because of the sad truth behind this picture and that everyone feels really sympathetic towards children and their animals.
Isolation

I picked this picture because I like the way you can look back into the past and see the way each sister has grown or changed. The photographer just took the photo strait on without any particular angle, but it is in black and white to symbolize the time line of this photo. I think this made the top 40 because it has a cool way of showing the then and now and it also tells a story without words.

I picked this photo because of the inspiring message it represents. It also has a very cool, faded kind of look. The photographer set this picture up by angling it show not only the main subject , but the solders in line as well. This composition is what made my eyes gravitate to the picture. I think this made the top 40 pictures because it became the symbol of the flower power movement, which gave a lot of people hope and peace in what's to come in the Vietnam War in the 1960's to the 1970's.
